I received a phone call from Fifth Third Bank stating I did not make my payments for October

and November, 2011. I explained to the represenative that I have receipts to prove I made the payments. I wrote a complaint letter to the Attorney General and the better business bureau. This is an ongoing issue. I had the same problem last year. They hold the checks and they tell the consumer they are late with their payment.

As deceitful and untrustworthy as Fifth Third Bank is, I would not give them access to my bank account.

I believe Fifth Third Bank needs to be investigated for their consumer behavior.  You ever noticed that when you make a payment it seems to be delayed?  If you make a payment on your accounts at the bank it will not show up being paid on the account that day because it has to reach a payment center for the account not the bank?

Have them take the payments from your bank account via ACH transfers on schedule. Then they can't play that game, as long as you always have the funds in the account to pay the drafts.
