Fifth Third Bank was the lienholder for a car that I purchased. I traded the vehicle in. My payment was due the day that I traded it in. I didn't make the payment because I was just including it in the payoff amount. After being just 2 days late, the phone calls started. They called me 5 or 6 times a day, EVERY DAY. They called my cell and my work. When I did answer the phone, the representatives were RUDE.

They tried to pressure me into making a payment and upholding my legal responsibility on THEIR car. I asked them to stop calling me. They didn't. They still called 5 or 6 times a day, I literally counted the calls. I spoke with different representatives so it wasn't just one. I had to hang up on each one that I spoke to. I will never use them again. I can't believe they harassed me for a payment that was barely late.

Oh yes, you don't have one!  Your only "reply" is "you must work for them"!  YOU don't have any intelligent rebuttal because others have hit the nail directly on the head!  They are RIGHT and you just can't handle that.  So let me ask, what is your rebuttal to them?  How are they wrong?  Don't waste the time, Einstein, I don't work for them either!!!

You must work for Fifth Third Bank

You  must work for Fifth Third Bank. Some of the things in your reply come from the script they use in their phone calls. In my original post, I forgot to mention that I called PRIOR to trading in the vehicle and told them that I would be selling it.

I agree, late is late. But do they really have to call me 6 times a day? Even still, they don't have to be rude.

If you don't work for them, apply for a job. You'd fit right in.

Colorado,

Does the contract you signed with the bank allow you to skip your payment if you trade the vehicle in?

YOU are obligated to pay per your loan agreement.  They neither care nor are they required to work with you on this.

Your actions may negatively affect your credit rating.

NO Ripoff whatsoever,

You say "Barely Late". Which means you were late. PERIOD. See you needed them when you got your car. You used their services and money because you did not have it. Now that they want what is RIGHTFULLY theirs, you complain about it?? Exactly when was it that you started taking stupidity injections??

If someone owed you money, say your paycheck that you need in order to pay your bills, buy food, pay rent. And they were "Barely Late" on gettin git to you. Not only would you be pissed because of the LATE delivery, but you would also be upset on all the fees you would have to pay because it was late. How are they ANY different? Do they not deserve the exact same respect due to them that you would demand for yourself?? Im sorry but your self entitlment really sickens me almost as much as the assinine comment about "Barely Late". You would DEMAND that someone pay your paycheck and you wouldnt stand for it happening to you. So when you do this to someone else you are surprised that they want their money.

I guess Forest Gumps mom was right. Stupid is as Stupid does. Its something you really cant fix.
