I have had a lease with Fifth Third for almost 5 years. When I moved to NC I began the painful process with Fifth Third. They do not offer loans nor do they know the process to make a smooth transition in the title transfer process. I spent over 20 hours in 2003 researching why I had not received my property tax bill.

The County Clerk stated it was mailed to the bank and that it was now over due. I took time off work to go to the clerk office and pay this only to be followed up with a nasty letter that the amount was going to be paid and then placed on my credit? It is not my fault that the bank is 3 weeks behind in all communications/mail.
I am now approaching the end of my lease and have had promised call backs, not fulfilled, wrong answers, threatened, yelled at and better yet once I spoke with a manager he too promised a call back because here it is 2004 and I don't have my bill again.

I am not doing the leg work for this bank again and if their on management staff can't even call you back... I am glad I am getting away from that bank and I am not able to finance with them. Fifth Third is horrible and has no problem with it. You can only write a letter to the CEO if you have a complaint. I am sure he reads all of those, my goodness that would be his full time job. Where is resolution with this bank for the service, errors, and time they waste of their consumers outside of contacting an attorney to help you? Stay away from Fifth Third Bank. I was told they were the best rate, and best bank around when I lived in Ohio. What happened?
