We had gone to visit this bakery on a Sunday afternoon for the first time.  Being first in line, we were ignored and the cashiers allowed 2 people to cut us. We had said "excuse me, we're ready" twice and they did not help us. We were frustrated and then left. I tried calling the bakery 10 minutes later to speak to their manager. They manager was rude, gave me attitude and claimed that they must have been busy.

I finally spoke to the owner, Elena Basegio, a few days later, who claimed that we had cussed out their staff and refused to listen to my side as a potential new customer. We had some choice words out of frustration of not being served or acknowledge while waiting in line but DID NOT cuss anyone out. The owner straight out said "Feel free to post whatever you want online, our bakery is not the right one for you".  I am really appalled on how rude this small business is, the owner thinks they're above trying to show new customers some kindness and not even listen to my side of the story?!

Especially how many businesses have closed during the pandemic, Elena Basegio, does NOT want your business at Fillmore Bakeshop and thinks that she is too good to impress new customers. Take your business in SF to other family owned bakeries like Schuberts, Norte 52 and Lotta's that actually appreciate their customers and have better baked goods.
