filmlush.com, found on the internet during a search for a provider of films available for download, has a website that offers a free trial. The site is tricky and came up in answer to a search for a particular film, so the implication was that the site had the film.
Carelessly, I completed the extensive trial form, which included my credit card information. I certainly did not see anything that made me think there would be a charge, and not a charge of a $40 magnitude.
Not only did the site fail to have any oddball film names I tried, it didn't even have standards. For example, the entry "John Wayne" turned up dry.
At the company's number, 877-799-6843, a voicemail system, the first offering is account cancellation. Other billing information states a price of $2+ per month. So why was I charged $40+ and why was I charged at all? The operation seems set up to grab a quick $40+, then suffer the immediate cancellation and move on, all without providing any service at all.
