I attended an Non Paid Air Quality Testing Job training  described By THE OWNER as just Air Quality Testing - not SALES!!!!! (HA!) About 20 people from the job fair showed up ON JANUARY 4, 2012 .  Steve George, said owner of Allergy Relief Centers in Millard promised he would pay a "guarenteed" $3,100 per month for in home air quality testers, no sales required!!!!!

When we arrived, we were required to fork over all of our person identity papers. They collected all of our most private and sensitive financial and personal data. The people in the training, of course, had no documentation of theirs! The first morning of unpaid training, the new recruits were told b y said owner that he just wanted us to go out there, use our own personality/strengths, and have fun -  no pressure what so ever!!!! No selling, he had others who would take over from there. (It turned out NOTHING could be further from the truth, especially how were were treated once we actually went on a customer appointment!)

What happened on our first day out was anything BUT fun or low pressure:

After 3 days of unpaid training which consisting of an over zealous and less than convincing pep talk about how lucky we were to work for free at this company, using our own vehicle for their profit ,our trainers and holy family's attitude steadily grew more indignant, arrogant and demanding.   The job description was abruptly changed from "Air Quality Tester" to Door- to- Door Arm twisting high pressure sales aimed at elderly and sick people. Those who are most vunerable to persuasive and disingenous salesmen.

It turned out that the "guarenteed" $3,100. per month was paid at the END of the month (unless they fired you anytime before the last day AND after you worked for them the whole time for free AND did everything their way AND drove your personal  car all over the 3 state area AND performed at least 16 vaccum cleaner demonstrations per week for 4 consecutive weeks lasting 3-4 hours each.  The former Aiir Quality testers transmuted into commissioned sales people were constantly required to check in with a boss at the office for questioning.

As soon as we arrived at an appointment (we arranged ourselves) for a sales presentation,  the boss indignantly demandedto know where we were and the details of everything we planned to do that day.  We were instructed to vaccum up 50 samples of dirt from a customers carpet, even though the customer asked us to stop long before this because they got the picture the first 10 times we repeated this.  After being in the customers home for hours, you were required to call the boss back again and answer a series of threatening intimidating questions, which resulted in being ridiculed and criticized by one of the arrogant and rude bosses.  He would proceed to bark orders military style at you while trying to be positive and respedctful in front of the customer.  If you didn't do every single thing he demanded that you to do out of about 1000 phrases and actions, he would interrogate you on the phone. No flexability -  no how.  There was absolutely no room for your version, and it WAS NOt For FUN!.

This was pretty deceptive in the first place because the customer was assured inorder to agree to the in home demonstration, that it was just  a free air quality test which was hardly the reason we were there.  It was kind of embarassing when we were told to pull a vaccum cleaner out of the bag, and proceed to twist their arm to buy it at 5 times the price of it's nearest competitor.  This was a cheap plastic poor quality chineese "piece of crap" (as quoted from a customer) All the time, we had to call the boss and tell him what we were doing, and the pit bull harrassing intimidating boss would demand answers you didn't have, and then call the sales people who were trying to be respectful to the homeowner liars.  My Boss Hog demanded information I didn't precicely have, then calle me and the customer liars on the phone and fired me on the phone after I had worked for them 4 days straight with no pay.

The Allergy Relief Center is a scam. They belittle their people, and fire their sales force after the poor souls who needed a job worked for them for free, promising them a steady job that they Never intend to deliver.
