I received a call from a telemarketer who said that my credit standing had improved enough to earn me a credit card. All I needed to pay was a one time membership fee of 299.00. This company, called United Benefits, sent me a package containing materials that would supposedly help me improve my credit.

I ultimately sent it back and received a refund. I was so desperate to fix my credit that when another company contacting me with an even better deal, I jumped on it, only to find out that it the same company using a different name. The package I received from them was even worse. Now I am trying to get my money back.

I received a call from a customer service agengy that handles the business for these credit benefit companies. I explained the situation to him and he said that the financial benefits that had taken my money was not the same Financial Benefits that his company provides service to. I told him that this company is using the same address and "benefits" package that United had sent me, initially. he said that they were using the name and address fraudulently and he would check into it. he asked me to update my file on ripoff reports, and amend it to say that these two companies are not the same. When read the update on my complaint, "Financial Benefits it working hard....." it makes me even more suspicious about the phone call i recieved and these companies who are sending out this credit repair package. I am even more convinced that these companies are either the same or this supposed customer service company has more to do with the scams that they are admitting to. I want my money back and will make sure that everyone involved will feel as much grief as I can possibly inflict. This is my update.
