My debt account was transferred to Financial Help Services without my permission from American Debt Counseling, Inc in July, 2013.  The reason it was transferred was reorganization of the company.  I called American Debt Counseling for infomration and they assured me that my payments would go on as contracted with them only through Financial Help Services.  I called that company a couple of times but was put on hold repeatedly.  I tried their email but their server was down for repairs.  So I checked my payments when they came through the bank and while the money was taken from my account it was not put on the debts.

I kept calling the company until I was able to talk to a representative (it took multiple calls to finally reach someone) and I was assured that the bill would be paid immediately.  I called my creditor and discussed the problem but they wanted their money immediately and I needed to make a payment right away.  I did that and called Financial Hellp Services and though they were very kind did not try to make any changes to my program.  I ask then to be taken off the program but was told I needed to contact my case manager.  I called several times and emailed but never received answers from anyone.  In the meantime the bills started getting paid so I relaxed a little.

Several months later, my payment was not made by Financial Help Services.  It was due to some changeover on employees and someone had 'forgotten' my account again.  Again I had to pay the money to my debtor and Financial made up the payment the next month.  Payments were paid regularly until Aug. 2014.  Again, no one contacted me with any problem, I was contacted by the debt.  I again paid the bills and contacted Financial Help Services.  The reason this time is that that company servers were flooded and the information was lost.  They were in the process of 'finding' it and would pay it within the next 8 days.  My debtor did not receive the money as promised.  I asked to talk to my account case manager so I could get this problem straightened out.  I was told that the particular case manager no longer worked with the company and had in fact left soon after taking the job.

This time I threatened with a law suit unless my account was closed and the money they had taken from my bank account was paid in full or showed up paid to the debtor.  At this point, I have not heard that they have paid the money they owe.

This is not a responsible company.  I would not trust them to pay my bills in any circumstance.  They violated my trust, they've cheated me out of money that I paid for a service and they have misrepresented their own actions in my situation
