Financial Knowledge Network  - they called from 727-260-5510 "Financial Knowl"

Woman named Tanika Sowell called.  Asked if I had gotten their letter promising to lower my credit card rate.  Asked me how much debt I had, I said I didn't know, but to make the numbers easy to calculate, use $10,000.  She said they could save me $5,200 by getting the bank to lower my rate.

Their phone is 1-877-572-4661.  Says banks have lost 20% of their card customers because of the economy and credit card rates.  They are now willing to work with Financial Knowledge Network to lower rates for their card customers who make their payments on time.

I gave her my card's bank name and card type and the 800 number on the back of my card.  When she asked for my card number, I told her no.

Her supervisor Alan Darulla got on the phone and told me that Federal law protected me from any charges on my card that I didn't make; that the credit card company had to remove them from my card within 72 hours.  I insisted I wouldn't give them the card number until I checked them out, and he laughed and said goodbye.

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

When it comes to dealing with financial matters, everyone has the ability to do it themselves.  If everyone knew how to resolve their financial issues themselves companies like ours would not be needed.  But not everyone wants to deal with creditor issues.  That is why they hire our company to help them.  The fact that we contact prospects through telemarketing procedures does not qualify us as a scam.  Consumers react and interpret sales presentations many different ways.  What compels them to take the time to try and portray the presentation as something other than a telephone sales pitch is beyond my comprehension.  We service 1000 clients a month, the vast majority of whom benefit from our service.  It is always unfortunate when a small minority can come on a site like this and try to speak for the majority.   I am compelled to respond to these reports because the do not accurately describe the activities of our company.  We have successfully negotiated over 1 Billion dollars of interest savings for over 50,000 clients in the past 5 years.  This is the kind of information that needs to be shared.  As a conumer advocacy organization, we strive to assist consumers in living better lives through reducing their dependency on debt and increaing their wealth throug proper debt management.  I do not believe we take advantage of anybody.  We do not knowingly enroll anyone in our program that we do not believe we can help.  Anyone who would like tolearn more about our program is welcome to call us at 866-286-8961 and get the details of what we do.  You can also visit our website at http://financialknowledgenetwork.org
