About a week ago I received a letter saying hat my Husband (JT) owed $1029.76 to Erin Cptl. management. regarding Conoco classic. So I asked him about he had no clue. So he called the nmber given (866-522-9393) which he then asked what was this debt all about and it was not him. He said it was for a gas card. Was extremely rude on the phone and JT said he's gett resolved without these peoples help b/c it was not his charge.. FRS said they would ruin his credit and hold him accountable for all this money. So, we looked up the company "Erin Caital Mgmnt".. Got there phone number which did not match what this letter had. Then pulled his credit of course nothing came up! I then checked on this website and found tons of reports from this company. I then checked our house phone which is hooked up to fax most of the time. FRS had been calling for the best week and getting the fax line. Haha! Nothing like getting the buzz in the ear!

Well today while I was home the number came up and I wantd to confront them about it! So the lady said she was calling from FRS for JT... I said what is FRS? she said its a company.. NO REALLY?? So I said what does that stand for and she Financial Recovery Services.. I said that I googled her company and its a ripp off! Huge scam and she denied, of course and was being a huge B! I told her we check his credit nothings on there. And, she got frustated and hung up! Surprise!

Now, I need to know what's the steps to get them to stop calling? Anyone know?

check out (((ROR redacted))) I use this site and it has helped me so far. i sent FRS, Inc. a validation letter along with a cease and desist letter on contacting by any other means other than mail. Just remember that when you mail anything, always get it Certified and with a Return Receipt. It'll cost about $5 and some change per letter. If they call, always record the conversation. NEVER call them. Also, read up on your rights. If the collection company is in violation of any of your rights and you can prove it, you can sue them for up to $1000 per incident. On a personal note, try to develop a new filing system for your bills and other financial paperwork. Keep it for atleast 7 years and this is how long the IRS can collect on you and for how long the 3 Credit Reporting Agencies can have info on your credit report. hope this helps.
