Complaint Review: Find Luxury Hotels

Made an online reservation for swissotel-watergate on a specific date. Their confirmations page then showed a different date. I changed the error online, since the website said the $10 fee would not apply to change this.

Then the $10 fee was charged, so I called and explained the situation. They said website errors on their end are "no-fault" so the fee applies. Whatever. So I found a cheaper rate for the same room at swissotel.com, and tried to submit their price guarantee form 3 times to no avail - it kept saying it couldn't find the city, even though there was no field to enter the city.

I called and demanded a refund due to their price guarantee and had to guide their rep through several steps for several minutes before they agreed that they could not beat the rate I had found.

They sent an email confiming that I had been credited the reservation, but not the $10 fee from earlier. I then received an email 45 minutes later confirming my original reservation! They blow..avoid...you can beat their rates ANYWHERE.
