I purchased a Acer Aspire computer from Fingerhut catalog.  It is a horrible product, and Fingerhut knows it!  NEVER buy any products from Fingerhut catalog, because they do not research there products, and they will NOT take it back.  Even when they know it is a bad product!  

     NEVER purchase a Acer computer.  Consumer Reports has  over 400 complaints on Acer computers, and there is only a 4% satisfaction report, on Acer computers.  

      I purchased the Acer computer from Fingerhut in October of 2011.  Within 1 year  the computer  shut down.   I sent it back and had it repaired under my Warranty.  Within 10 months it broke down again.  Even after my daughter treated this computer like a baby.  

      I had it.  I contacted Fingerhut and demanded that they take this back.  Especially after reading the extensive amount of complaints, regarding Acer computers. Fingerhut refused to take this faulty product back.  And believe me they know it is a faulty product!!!  

       I still have a warranty, but when I contact the Acer warranty department I get no response!

IN CONCLUSION>  NEVER BUY A PRODUCT FROM FINGERHUT And NEVER BUY A ACER COMPUTER

Your claim that "it is a horrible product, and Fingerhut knows it!" is completely unsubstantiated - as is the claim that they do not research their products. Your entire complaint with Fingerhut is based on their supposed knowledge that the product is faulty, and that they wouldn't take a return almost a year after your initial purchase.

Acer is a nationally-recognized name brand, and is sold by WalMart, Best Buy, Sears, and Target *in addition to* Fingerhut. Everybody sells it.

And unless I miss my guess, WalMart, Best Buy, Sears and Target wouldn't take a computer back a year after purchase either. 

You got a bad computer. That sucks. But when it's been a year since your purchase, your beef is with Acer - not Fingerhut.
