I will never do business with Fingerhut again. I have to call them every month to make sure they don't add erronious late fees to my account! I ordered a leather jacket several years ago and somehow am STILL PAYING FOR IT!!! I have paid more than what the jacket costed in the first place!!! And the product isn't even all that nice. It is a cheap flimsy jacket.

Fingerhut adds a large late fee to your account if you are more than 8 seconds past the due date, they add it even if you are not late!!! They have added an excess of $25 PER MONTH to my "normal" monthly fee, claiming I was late in making my payments. As I stated before, I ACTUALLY HAVE TO INCONVENIENCE MYSELF TO CALL THEM EVERY MONTH to say "Don't add any late fees!"

Please do not order anything from Fingerhut, you will be paying for the rest of your life!!!

Years ago, I became a Fingerhut customer. I thought it was so great that I was getting merchandise for such a "low monthly payment", but then I did the math. All those "low monthly payments" aren't so low when you end up with about five of those payment books. Also, I would have saved a lot more money if I just tucked the cash away and bought a better item at a retail store.

Even though I was a customer of theirs for three years, I will never go back to them again. Do yourself a favor and just save the money so you can get a nicer item later on. They prey on the "get it now!" mentality that pervades our country. Also, this was before they declaired bankruptcy so I'm sure their business practices are much worse now then they were when I was one of their loyal customers.
