I ordered a 60" Samsung HD plasma TV from fingerhut.com on 10-17-13. It took over a week to arrive. When it arrived there was damage to the exterior and interior of the item. I refused the delivery because of the extensive damage. I immediately called fingerhut customer service. I was told that a replacement would be shipped upon return of the damaged item. This would mean another 2-3 week's before I would receive a replacement. The customer service rep. showed little empathy with my situation. Needless to say I cancelled the $1499 order and let them know that this type of service was unacceptable.

Next time I will drive to Bestbuy or Wal-Mart and just buy it in person. If you are considering buying a high ticket item such as electronic products, I would not do it with these guys. Unless you like to wait and gamble that it will arrive in one piece.

Order Number: ORD0056758282 Date Placed: 10/17/2013 Items In Order: Samsung 60" 1080p Plasma HDTV Status:Shipped

Would you even buy from Fingerhut if you have the money to buy it elsewhere,..you are aware that Fingerhut's prices are significantly higher?..and honestly, I truly dont see any reaso to buy from them....if you can get credit from Fingerhut, its likely you can get it from a Best Buy, Walmart, etc....foolish to be honest.

should have taught you better manners sir. I understand that fingerhut did not break the item. I placed the order thru them. They chose the shipping company. By them chosing which company to ship the item, this company now becomes an extension of the service that fingerhut provides to their customers. If they chose a company that makes them look bad, such as in this case, then fingerhut does have a real responsibility to righten the wrong caused by THEIR chosen partner. They did not offer a solution to the problem. The only option offered was to wait 2-3 weeks to maybe receive a working replacement. My posting was intended as a warning to others to be aware from ordering  expensive electronic items from this company.

As far as the name calling. I am proud to be an American.  And you sir have shown how uneducated you are by name calling a person who feels wronged and who you do not know. Lastly....I could probably kick your a*s if we ever met. You are probably some industry paid troll who goes around name calling people with real grivinces.

How exactly is FingerHut liable for damages done to your product by the shipping company?? Once again the american consumer shows EXACTLY how ignorant they are. FEDEX or UPS is who you should be complaining about as they are the ones that damaged your TV. As for FingerHut sending out a replacment once they got it in. Thats just commone sense dummy. They need to have the old item before they ship the new one. How do they know for sure that your not just part of the usual consumer SCAM of trying to get something for free. The only way they have to verify it is by having the old one in hand. It would be absolute stupidity on thier part to just ship you ANOTHER $1500 TV. I swear did you wake up this stupid or have you been working on it from birth?
