Complaint Review: FINGERHUT

FINGERHUT IS TRYING TO SUE ME FOR 1,888 TIMES THE ORIGINAL BALANCE DUE OF $10 FOR SET OF PLASTIC BOWLS FROM 8 YEARS AGO. ripoff business from hell St. Cloud 56395-0001 .....

Please anyone interested in a class action suit against FINGERHUT, contact me [via ripoffreport.com]. You can call me if your seriously interested at 530-792-4183, M-F, 9-5 PST. This company is unreal! They are threatening to sue me over an unpaid balance due of $10 from 8 years ago. I would gladly pay that,and I told them that many times, but,they want 1,888 times that amount! It was the balance due on, on one set of plastic bowls that were $45 with shipping,I paid a partial payment of $35.

This is so long ago that I dont still have the receipt from that. I dont keep records back further than 5 years generally. I was on welfare at the time, both my parents passed away, I was in an extreme depression, and it just got forgotten about. Now 8 years later when I am working, they are jeopardizing my job by harasssing me at my employment. I told them not to call me at work,and they still do, telling me they are suing me! I consulted an attorney,and he said the debt is past the 4 years statute of limitations,that they cant legally sue me for that. I can bankrupt the debt.

But, I dont want to bankrupt,and ruin my credit for another 10 years,when it has been already ruined for years with them chasing me with numerous credit collection agencies over an old $10 debt I was willing to pay if they would drop there incredibly exhorbatant fees! They still kept sending me advertisements for years to buy more. I finally did,and paid for a cheap vacuum in full. I figured I was in good standing again, since they extended me more credit,and wanted my business again. Wrong!!!!!!!!
