FINZ WATERFRONT GRILL FAKE FISH WAS NOT WHAT WAS ON MENU STUART Florida
I took my Dad to what is billed as one of the best seafood restaurants in the area. The Grouper was not grouper; the Snapper was not snapper. Many area restaurants sell groper as if it is misspelled unintentionally. Not Finz. They sell spell "Grouper" and serve "Groper", whatever that is.
The oysters were excellent, but how can you mess up emptying the bucket on to the ice and then take the oysters and putting them on a plate.
My Dad likes crabcakes. He said these were the worst he had ever had. They certainly looked terrible, with both sides burned from the grill where they were mashed flat while cooking. The waiter just shrugged. He had bar patrons to serve. This is a bar. What did we expect? Good Food? How silly of us.
My fake snapper was nearly inedible. A McDonald's fish sandwich would have been less greasy. We had six entrees and not one was worth eating.
VERY DISAPPOINTING experience!
The chowder was excellent.
Don't mistake this bar food for cuisine. It is a waterside bar with hoax fish and burnt, smashed crabcakes.
If you want a drink, oysters and chowder, it is a good place if you don't mind a lot of noise from boisterous patrons.
If you want good seafood, go to Pirates Cove, nearby.
