July of 2005, I purchased a set of tires, along with the lifetime alignment package.

Just the other day, I took my truck in for an alignment/rotation. Upon receiving it back shortly before closing time, driving home, I noticed a vibration from the front passenger side of the truck. When arriving home, I then notice my oil filter access door is open and there is also oil all over my front skid plate (there should be no need to be messing with the oil nor filter). To top it off, the alignment of the passenger tire is so bad, toed in, and terrible camber, that if I leave it like it is, my tires will be worn down in 5-10k miles.

But it gets better. I had called to check an update on it before picking it up, and the manager said I needed to replace my rear u-joint (no big deal), that my pitman arm was bad, which I knew, but also that the idler arm was bad. I had just replaced that in July when I purchased the new tires along with tie rod ends and ball joints. It has nothing wrong with it, even according to an independent shop who I just had check it today.

Poor alignment, an awful vibration I cannot even begin to diagnose, oil all over the skid plate of my truck, and telling me good parts are faulty.

I will not be taking my truck back to this Firestone shop, even though there is no other within 50 miles of me.

Idler Arm Bad

Returned to them, and the idler arm is bad. It was not this way before taking it in. It steers worse than when I took it in.

Maybe because I told them they were a rip-off charging $85 to replace one u-joint, and I would do it myself?

I still want to know why my oil filter access was open.
