First American Consulting Group ripoff grant frauds Champlain New York
Fraud and the web grants
It has always been a very uncomfortable position to be in when you are seeking help via the internet or with companies. As I have been seeking help for studies and more, I researched for weeks different grant organization and found that many said a lot but did not do much. In the end I tried First American Consulting Group.
With much doubt in mind, I asked questions, especially ones that about my guarantee in the grants and what would happen if it did not work out. As I gathered my information and called them at various points just to see if they were as they said, I began to feel like they are a business to chance. It was explained again to me, by Anne, that their fee is $298.00 and that this would put me in the process of their attorneys seeking out the best possible school and home grants there are. It was stated that I am guaranteed a minimum of $5000.00. However, depending on the findings by the attorneys, I could get between $5000.00 and $25,000.00. Anne mage it clear that if they were to not find anything, that I was to be given back the $298.00 without any problems at all.
So, with that I took a chance as I really wanted a grant at the time to get back into finishing up my degree. In November of 2006, the 3rd to be exact, I started the process. I was given a Verification number, Anne made it clear that I may contact her at anytime. After the process began, I did call weeks apart to find out the status of the paper work and what was going on. She would always return my calls, and gave me clear answers and updates. It all seemed fine. In February I began calling more, as I still had my doubts. Anne was still there, she was always updated and told me in February that I would be receiving information in the mail by March of 2007.
March had arrived and nothing came. Within the second week of March I called again and Anne made it clear that I will be receiving mail shortly as they had been working on my case well. At that point I asked again about the return of the $298.00. Once again, it was clearly expressed to me that if nothing had come through, that I will be getting the $298.00 that was given to them via my checking account. April is now here, and the week of the 7th I called only to get, at there number, 1 877 340 0550, no answer but a recording that said your call cannot be completed as entered, please check the number and try again. Or call customer service for assistance, 44704. I did call that exact number, then 1877 344 4704, which lead me no where. Again today, April 11, 2007, I tried and tried again, still the same thing. So I began searching extensively for more information about this group. Only to have found on this site Rip-OFF that another person had encountered them with the same rate of $298.00 and had spoken to a gentle man with the same last name Miller, a Anne Miller whom I spoke with many times.
It is rather annoying that we whom seek help, cannot tell nor be certain anymore about groups that are to help us or rip us off. Sometimes when research is done, you do not get the dark side to these companies until it's too late. I did do research on them, but I did not find anything negative back in September early November 2006. Unbelievable!
The companies name, First American Consulting Group. They generally told me by phone, First American Consulting. The main individual, spoken with each time, Anne Miller. Telephone number 1 877 340 0550.
