Complaint Review: First American Home Buyers Protection Corporation

We moved into our house on November 2005, the house was 10 years old, and we were contacted by First American and told that they would guarante the appliances and a/c unit in our home.

Our A/C unit went out three weeks ago. I called first american, and they stated they would have some one out the next day.

Well two days later I called direct to R2 mechanicle and they sent some guy out in his personnal truck, and he walked in and said man its hot, walk to the back and checked the unit and said yep it needs replacing. I was told I would be getting a call from first american, but three days later I had to call. I was put on hold after being transferd to three people and 45 minutes later I was told that they was not responsible for fixing the unit. They told me that I should of open the unit my self before buying the house and checked it out myself. We had a guy to come out and inspect the house and the unit in November, It was working fine then, what are the purpose of this company first american? They had the nerve to have one of their reps to call and remind us that our warranty was about to expire two days later.

They take your money and you pay for your break downs your self. I live in Desoto Texas and its been 100 plus for a week. Something has to be done about this company, or rip off I must say.
