I moved into a new house in Lancaster Ca on July 10th 2006. We paid for an inspection to insure that all everything in the house was functional, which also allowed us to get the Home warranty (which was added into the closing cost).

On July 20th the electrically breakers kept flipping off. The AC never came back on. I called First American that night and told them something electical would not allow the a/c to come back on. It took 6 days before I could (and the average hi-temp in lancaster this week was over 100). The tech. came by told be the Condser bassically had disentegrated and the outside unit would need to be replaced. He did mention some dust build upon the blower.

When I called First American the next day and asked them the status they told me the distingration was casued by no filter, and the coils were clogged (never mention or written up by the tech). They told me they did not have to honor the warranty because I did not maintain it through the years (I had only been in the house for a little more than a week).

I am still trying to find some resolution, I have contacted the inspector and have his report that the unit was satisfactory, I am attempting to contact the agent, technician and First American Home Buyers Protection yet am very confused what I paid for. I am still spending the summer in my new home with no AC in the desert of Lancaster. Thanks First American Home Buyers for no help.
