First Approval Benefits ripoff deception fraudulent New Jersey
In short I, like many, received a phone call from what 'seemed' legitimate, turned out to be a lie..from First Approval Benefits stating that I have been Pre Approved to receive either a Mastercard or Visa with a starting credit limit of $2000, but had to pay $269 which will waiver all fees etc..ok so I thought what the heck...
After talking more with the rep, who introduced herself as Maureeen.. explained that I could pay for the $269 either that day when she called or another scheduled time, I chose to do it that day ok no problem we thought, after asking "Maureen" if there were any catches she said no as the payment had been received and to expect my new mastercard in as little as 7 days along with information outlining my account.
Ok seemed straight forward enough...NOT!! A week later I called them with the reference number in hand, but was asked for my telephone number ok, so I did that, then was told that I will recieve my card in 15 days after the payment was made plus my kit..ok WHAT KIT?? I had done some research first on this dumbass company and found very disturbing info, and asked ok what is this kit and do I or do I not receive just a credit card..."no ma'am" was the reply, you receive 2 cards (what the heck??) one is their premium card to be used to purchase goods from their catalog, and the second will be a form for me to sign in order to receive my mastercard...SOOOOOO in actual fact I didn't pay for the card at all I paid for the darn "Premium aka RIP OFF" card.
After demanding that my 'order' be canceled immediately I was told that I couldn't get a refund and told that I was informed about my Premium card and kit...EXCUSE ME, I was there, I wasn't told about that...
Anyway after being talked over I just simply told the rep that ok, well I'm going to my bank to have the fees of $269 disputed and reversed as I DO NOT wish to purchase their stuff, and I said that should I receive their kit in the mail, its all going back...
So in short, should you receive a call from these FRAUDSTERS one phrase: CAVEAT EMPTOR!!! There are way too many companies in this world today and we really need to start pulling them out of business as its disgusting.
