Complaint Review: First Assist Financial

These companies are the same, they all work together. Check out the reports on Peoples First Financial on here and you will see that Renae and the rest of the bunch are up to it again. They received negative press and were all featured on 20/20. A bunch of them split and started up other identical companies doing loan mods. They will claim they are the good people, but just the same scammers as Peoples First Financial using their same tactics as before. I would not do business with any of these companies, check the ratings of First Assist Financial and Peoples First Financial as they are posted all over the place with negative press. They just keep changing their names and saying they are a new different company.

This complaint is filed by a rival company - they have been doing this to my company for months - most recently with (((Redacted))) and it took many man hours and emails, but I did get it removed from (((Redacted))) and soon to be removed from Google. Rip Off Report is different - they refuse to investigate complaints to see if they are valid, so they refuse to remove the complaint. Please see the email from Complaint Board here ;

BEWARE/ILLEGAL: Companies such as First Assist Financial and Renae Simpson are operating ILLEGALY in CA for collecting fee's on Loan Modification up front. Trust me there are a lot of SCAMS out there. In California if you are not an attorney LICENSED firm http://members.calbar.ca.gov/search/member.aspx or have a California Department of Real Estate approved contract on file http://www.dre.ca.gov/mlb_adv_fees_list.html You are operating ILLEGALY when collecting advance fees for Loan Modification or Foreclosure Prevention Services. First Assist Financial and Renae Simpson are not listed on either one of these government sites meaning they have NO licensing with the CA Department of Real Estate or California State BAR. This company along with numerous others is operating ILLEGALY in California. Search these 2 sites before doing business with a company doing Loan Modification or Foreclosure Prevention Services. Make sure their address and name they are using is registered on one of these sites. If you cannot find the person's name from First Assist Financial you are dealing with on these sites, they are Breaking California State Law and is punishable by 1 year in prison and up to a $10,000 fine per occurrence. Make sure they don't lie to you and say they are attorney backed when in fact all this equates to is that they have an attorney that they use for personal business matters that is not related to their actual company. The CA State BAR has put out a memo on Loan Mod Companies like First Assist Financial claiming they are attorney backed and to BEWARE. Attorneys must sign strict agreements specific to this or they will be dis-bared. This is why First Assist Financial does not list an attorney license. If Renae Simpson or anyone else at First Assist Financial is an attorney with the dba of First Assist Financial you will find them on the CA state BAR website. Also make sure if First Assist Financial is collecting your money, that they have the licensing, and are not subcontracting your Loan Modification out to a Licensed firm as this is also ILLEGAL if THEY collect your money up front. If First Assist Financial collects money under their name from you BEWARE as this is illegal in CA and you will most likely lose your money! If you want someone who is legitimate I have used Kerry Steigerwalt's Pacific Law Center in San Diego and received excellent results! Be smart and safe, do your research with the regulatory agencies on these companies! Most of them are being shut down as we speak by regulatory agencies, First Assist Financial will most likely be on their list.

This complaint is totally bogus. It was filed by a rival company in an attempt to ruin my reputation. I was one of their best employees and left their firm because they are the rip off artists. I urge the person who supposedly filed this to call me to resolve this issue. I have NEVER lost anyone's home. I have never had any complaints against my firm, except of course the other complaint this firm did the same day on Complaint Board. It's OK, this company will be exposed on 20/20 ABC news his coming Friday. They are being investigated by the FBI! The truth will be known. I have been in the mortgage business 20+ years. I have helped 100's of homeowners save their home. I know in my heart I am doing the right thing. I do have 2 LLC's one in Washington and one in California. The EDitor at Rip Off report said they cant afford to employ enough people to validate complaints, so take that into consideration when reading complaints. He also said, it's like finding out years after someone has been convicted of murder and died in the death penalty that the person was innocent... oh well. (That was his response.) And then he told me try and sue him.... he never loses because of internet laws. Well, his pubished reports become useless when not validated. At least validate the email it came from wasn't just made up to supply 1 complaint!! As I am sure this one is. He has no idea how this affects a small business and basically he is supporting misinformation. Please, do not believe this BOGUS complaint.
