Bought a used 2003 Kia Sadona from St. Louis Honda who financed in a Superior Bumper to Bumper First Automotive Warranty. 24 months or 24,000 miles. Bought the car in July. On the first of December the air conditioner compressor locked up, destroying the serpintine belt. Took it to the dealer as required, they said I would have to authorize the tear down before the warranty inspector would respond, they said that the entire system was ruined and contaminated with metal filings and that the front and rear expansion valves would have to be replaced. When they first contacted First Automotive Service corp. they said they would cover the repairs. When the mechanic tore down the system and the inspector responded they said they would only cover the Compressor. Tried to reason with them on the language of their warranty contract that all of the parts were damaged by their covered part and that all parts and labor were necessary to completer the repair but they still refused to cover. Cost me $977 out of my pocket. The mechanic also agreed that all of the parts and services were absolutely necessary to completer the repair and couldn't believe the warranty company refused to cover.
