The ball bearings on my 2005 Chevy Trailblazer needed to be replaced, along with a few other things.  When I called First Automotive about this, they informed me that ball bearngs were not covered under the Superior Protection Plan but king pins are.

King pins have not been used in cars since the 1950's!  They were replaced by ball bearings!  King pins  are only used in heavy trucks, which my Trailblazer is NOT!!

I Suspect:

That both you and the repair center that you are using are using terminology that allows the warranty company to deny your claim. But it may not be valid anyway.

I suspect you have trouble with "Ball Joints" not "Ball Bearings" as stated in your complaint.

Most Warranty policies exclude wheel bearings and suspension "Ball joints" from coverage as they are considered a "Wear Item" just like brake linings.

You need to do two things to see if this is an oops or you were ripped off on your warranty.

1st Check to see what the warranty company was actually told was wrong.

2nd Read the coverage exclusions.
