Complaint Review: First Capital Consumer Group

Last night I received an offer regarding a Visa and Mastercard with low interest rate and low transfer balance rate. I questioned the phone call but thought that the offer was good and I could cut down my interest rate on some existing credit cards. I gave them by bank information for the $190 fee they requested and stated they wouldn't take the money until the 17th of the month.

I really felt strange about the call and this morning I researched the name of the company on the internet. I located several "Rip Off" warnings about this company. I immediately phoned my bank to stop any electronic payment this company may request. I telephoned the company to request that they stop my application for the credit cards. The person I talked with the night before was not in. The person who answerd the phone stated that he could not stop the process and that I would have to telephone back tonight. I questioned the person and asked for his name.

It was very strange that both people had the same last name. So now I feel very uneasy about this transaction. He told me that if I gave all the information to the person the night before I would have to call the customer service number. I called the customer number and all I got was a recording. Both times I called collect. The first call was accepted. The second, not because of the recording. Even if this is a lagit company I feel that they have a bad reputation and I do not want others to get "Ripped Off". So Consumer Be Ware!
