I received a phone call on Saturday 6/31/02 at 2:00 PM from Berno of First Capoital Consumer Group in reference to a credit card offer with a limit of $2,000. Berno informed me that I would receive a Master Card with the credit card limit of $2,000. Berno said the introductory rate on this card is 0% for the first three months, and he then explained the program to me. Berno said that I needed to give him $199 in order to process the card. I first thought it was too good to be true, then I noticed Berno started stumbling over his words. He didn't even get my bank name, at first, he was so suprised when I offered it to him, just to see what he would say. He said he forgot to ask, and thanks for reminding him. I knew something was not right, but like a desperate individual I was, I gave him all the information I had for my bank account. The withdrawal of $199 was supposed to take place on 7/05/02, but when I ewent on line today to look the company info up, I noticed this site for credit card scams, I was LIVID at First Capital Consumer Group for there scams of innocent and vulnerable people after reading the reports. I even tried to call, after they gave me the number, and I received a cheap voice mail to leave a message. I am so LIVID at this company!!!! I stop payment on the withdrawal in time!!! They will not get away with this scam, if not today, or tomorrow soon they will be caught!!!! The law needs to crack the whip on this now!!!! T. Williams Orlando, Florida
