I am absolutely horrified to find First Capital here on this website. I looked on the web at first to find the phone number of this company, and stumbled across this. In May, "Matt" called me and said I had been approved for a $2,000 MasterCard. I immediately asked how much the fee was since this is about the 10,000th call I've had about credit cards, pagers, cell phones and such. He said, "$199." I was very leary about it, so I decided to ask more questions. He proceeded to talk my ear off! He told me about the 9.9% interest rate for the life of the card. It can never go up. He said this was really good, because in Canada, where he is, he pays 22% for his card. "Matt," seemed really nice and I was duped into believing him. He told me that they would deduct the money on May 27th. Someone called back 15 minutes later to "verify" my info. The 27th came and went. I lost the number, looked on the web for it, and came across these scams. I was very lucky they had not taken the money out yet. I had to close my account and open a new one. I'd advise anyone to do the same if they have fallen victim to this popular scam. Do not do this! I got the same phone number that everyone else got. Same pin number 2828. Four days later, "Faye" calls and tells me I was approved for a Visa for the small fee of $219. Looks like I'm not the only one who got scammed by the same people. BEWARE! Jenny Oroville, California
