Complaint Review: First Capital Consumers Group

i recieved a call in late march from first capital consumers group about recieving a credit card. it was a gold card with a 2000.00 limit. after listening to the explanation of benefits and costs i agreed to get one. having been divorced and filing bankruptcy, i have tried to get one with no luck so being able to get one was a big deal to me. so after being told i was accepted, they only needed 199.00 to get it. this was deducted from my account on april 12, 2002 and at that point i had high hopes to finally work on rebuilding my credit. a couple weeks later i recieve a packet in the mail with a little explanation about my card and benefits but lots of other offers included. no address, email or other contact was included other than the phone number given when i first agreed. this was the same as what was in the packet. not seeing any real contact info, i tried to call. upon calling i got a message that all lines were full and i needed to call back or leave a message. so i called back a few times but could not get thru. so i decided to leave a message and did not get a return call. since then ive tried to call but could never get thru. finally i left a message saying that i required a return call or i would take appropriate actions. not recieving a call again i decided to contact someone for some help. talking local athorities was not much of a help becuase of them being in canada. i was advised to get ahold of the fbi and that i may have some avenues there to try there. before getting to the fbi, my girlfriend came across ripoffreport.com and that first capital consumers group was on there. so i decided to contact them but will also persue other avenues if need be. and as of today, first capital has not called me back. thomas cedar springs, Michigan
