First Capital Consumers Group is a con artist scam ripoff. Ontario, Canada
Around the first of June 2002 I received a phone call from First Capital Consumers Group. They told me all about this credit card with $2500 on it and all I would have to pay was $219, and then the card would be there in 4 to 7 business days. I thought this would be a good way to go ahead and establish credit. I allowed the telephone representative (Jasmine McKye) to go ahead with the transaction.
About 2 days later I started having second doubts about the whole thing so I tried to call back and cancel only to receive no answer. I then checked online to see if they had a web site only to find this one.
As soon as I read that First Capital was listed I called my bank and asked them to place a stop payment on the automatic debit. Unfortunately though, my bank would not be capable of doing this for me since they had never ran a transaction through my account (they need the company's code to be able to ensure that the money does not get debited) I was beginning to get extremely frustrated and asked them to just charge me the $30 fee and place the stop payment in hopes that it would stop it.
On June 17, 2002 First Capital debited the $220 out of my account and the bank charged me for the stop payment. Since then I have received nothing or heard from anyone (surprise huh?) DO NOT TAKE THIS CARD!!!!!!
