Complaint Review: First Capital Consumers Group

Hi everyone. Like many others,I was also a victim of this so-called company. I was contacted in the beginning of April of 2002 with an offer to receive a credit card with a limit of $2500 for $199.00. I,like many others, had the money taken from my account. This was on April 8th. I was told that I would receive the card in 10-14 days. By April 19th,I still had not received anything,so I called them to get an update. I was told that it took 10-14 days from the day they withdrew the money for them to get any information,and that it would be another 10-14 days for the card. I called again the following week,only to be told that they did not have any information,my file was elsewhere, in another department. On May 14th,I received this "package" of theirs. It only consisted of coupons and a card that I needed to fill out and send to some clearing house for processing. I contacted First Capital yet again,highly irritated. I told them that I couldn't believe that it took 5 weeks to get this package,and not a card,they could have done that 3 weeks earlier. I was told my card would be coming any time now. Well, it has been a month,and still no card yet.There has been a total of over 2 months,and nothing but empty promises and lies. Please take heed to all of these warnings.Thank you. Karen Mt.
