Complaint Review: First Captial Consumer

I was contacted by people that said there were from "TransAmerica" Credit Card Co. and asked for a one time membership fee of 199.00, to receive an unsecured Visa Card. To make a long story short I received nothing I called numerous times but to no avail. The phone number then changed from (416) 761-9083 (IDJNE7596) to (416) 488-0219, which to date if you call that number is no longer valid. To conclude and needless to say that I was ripped off, and will no longer release info to people like this ever, lessoned learned and hopefully another person would read this before they make the stupid mistake of releasing information over the phone to people to they can not see or verify prior to releasing personal information.
