I finished my senior year and graduated from First Coast Academy. It took me awhile to realize that this online home school based out of florida would not help me in any way!!
I have applied at a community college near my home, WAS accepted for financial aid as well as accepted at mcc but was told that my high school diploma was non accredited through the state of texas so even though i will still be allowed to attend.....i can NOT receive financial aid!
I dont feel that it is right for someone to accept a persons money without at least warning them that because they live in a different state there would be a chance colleges wouldnt accept the diploma. Now im 4 wks away from the first day of class i have completed everything else with the school but might not be able to attend until i get my GED.
SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE!!
