I received a call on 8/18/04 from First American Credit (Alyon) accusing me of non-payment of $288.xx for 2 alleged visits to a porn website. The 2 calls were allegedly for 28 and 31 minutes (which seem to be very common among complainants) in February of 2003. I have researched these 2 dates on my phone bills and these charges never appeared and my phone company has no record of them.

I have written a letter to this company requesting all documentation regarding these calls: numbers dialed, exact times and dates of calls, website URL, name of business called, etc. This activity never occured on my phone. The guy that called was accusatory, rude, and hostile, threatned me with legal action for non-payment and gave me the runaround (which seems common among complainants) of we know it isn't you that called because it never is the person responsible for the phone, it is always a child, spouse or friend that initiates the call.

I no longer have the computer that was in use during the dates in question to check for the bogus dialer. I am not going to pay this. If they contact me again I will refer them to my attorney. I have filed a complaint with the FTC... are there other actions I can take? I would think that a class action would be well underway against this company after every thing I have read about them.
