Complaint Review: First Data Merchant Services

We have a Merchant one account (M1).  My story is really the same as all you guys, but I do feel for the ones that have had large sums put on hold.   That could end most company in these times.  I've been looking for a new merchant account and have heard a few people on here say they worked for a merchant services.  So I ask the magic question...who are the reputable companies?  I've heard nothing bad things about all the merchant companies.  I called First Data and spoke to a sales person Monday. The guys was nice I explained how M1 has charged us over $400.00 in the past 6 months for the PCI Complies.  He said " no way we charge only $40 a year."  He called back three times in one day.  He called back today and ask if I filled out the online form.  I said no, I sent it over to our accounting department for review.  I told him that our account with M1 would be up 3/1/10 the first time we talked.  I didn't tell him that the online application he sent was really a contract, but I know it was.  This a** hole was trying to make me fill out a contract trying to make think it was a application.  It was wired how bad he wanted me to fill this form out with our bank info. I didn't tell him what I thought of his company, but at the end of the phone call the guys didn't even say by.  This time the guy just hangs up.  I'm very sorry to hear what has happen to you all and my heart goes out to you.  But if we could get these blood sucking middle guys out, that would be a start.  Please someone advise me on who can we trust?  Thanks
