Ripoff Report would like to let readers know that Ripoff Report emailed this customer so the member business could make things right with them. When a business joins the Corporate Advocacy Program, Ripoff Report emails everyone from the past so the member business can make things right with them. Of course, everything within reason. In order to confirm that the complaints were resolved, Ripoff Report is copied on all responses so we can insure that the member business did right by their customer. The author of the Report below never responded to Ripoff Report’s email.
STATEMENT FROM FIRST DOWN FUNDING:
After working with the merchant for two hours, we came to realize the client has a large criminal background from their credit report and are unable to offer any lending solutions due to the criminal history. We let the client know via phone and email. We are now speaking to the client to resolve any past frustrations and will take care of it immediately.
NOW TO THE ORIGINAL REPORT THAT WAS FILED

We were contacted by an asian speaking representative telling us that we were apporoved for a business loan. We were interested, so asked for the application. Once filled out, we were contacted by Paul, who stated he was the senior loan agent. He advised that he "fought" for our loan and we were approved to be funded. He told us the terms would start at daily repayment, then after 10 consecutive payments, they would go to weekly or bi-weekly. After receiving a form requesting my bank log in passwords and information, I began to question, why they would need such information. I refuse that option, and he sends me a link for Decision Logic. This is supposed to be an on-line bank verification service. After completing it, the next day, I call and send an email checking on the status of our funding. I then receive another form teling me that I have to authorize another $299.00 to be taken out of my business account. No explanation, no call, just the form. After finally getting Paul to return my call,and asking him questions about this amount, he rersponds" I don't have to answer you, I will just hang up the call."
This confirmed what the previous report on this company stated. They are predators looking to obtain business financial information. I sent an email requesting the documents I sent back, but have yet to receive them. DO NOT SEND THIS COMPANY YOUR PERSONAL BANKING INFORMATION! THEY WILL NOT PROVIDE YOU WHAT THEY STATE.

In business, things do not always go as expected or needed. Reason being, businesses are not made of machines, but, humans. Our plight as a company is to provide a service and interact with other businesses that put their customers first. Thankfully, this is the ending result with our business and First Down Funding. After an initial bad impression, we were coontacted by Lidia and Paul, who, wanted things to be right and the customer to be happy. They walked us through another application process, advised, went over, checked and rechecked. Needless to say, the business relationship between First Down Funding and King's Transportation Express, LLC, has been restored and things are moving onward and upward.
I would recommend First Down Funding to ANY small business for their financial needs, just based on the sheer notion that their customers are PEOPLE to them, not numbers or quotas. They really do care about the people they serve, and that speaks volumes for any business in this dog-eat-dog world. Thanks First Down Funding for being there and for helping us to keep our business successful! A special thank you to Lidia for her time, patience and GREAT customer service! 2015-11-20

At no time were we informed or asked about any background check. I was a victim of identity theft, and had someone ASKED, documentation could have been provided to prove it! THESE REPORTS are not accurate, and if not taken down, we will sue your company! After we were told that our loan was declined, we received another proposal today for a different amount! THIS IS NOT A COMPANY THAT HAS CUSTOMER SERVICE ettiquette, or are true to what they say! This is the response we received after posting about our experience, and this is after being contacted to do a new deal!
Please remove the original post you posted and we will gladly remove the proof of why we declined the deal.

After review the file to complete a request, we found the client had a criminal background.
Our firm does not offer any lending solutions for clients with criminal backgrounds.
