We have a business in Capon Bridge WV. We are opening on Saturday the 7th of December. Potomac Edison was contacted on 11/27/2013 to start service. Potomac Edison explained that due to the Holiday they would have the service start requested on Monday 12/2/2013 however the state of WV gives them 3 days to start service. The latest date for our service to be turned on was today 12/04/2013 by 5 p.m. It is 5:36 on 12/4/13 our service is not on. We have contacted them on 12/3/2013 at 12:30 pm and we were told it would be on. I called today at 4:55 and was told they did not get to it. This is a small town and every job is a needed job. Due to them not turning our power on our business has lost over $800.00. We have had to hold off contractors, we have already paid for advertising for this Saturday - the Hampshire review $79.00, Winchester Star $74.00, Northern Virginia Daily $79.00 as well as a deposits that are forfeited due to this delay for Popcorn Machine $98.00, Face painter $75.00, and the multiple banners, flyers, and printed material that has run with this date that is approximately $200.00. We are also unable to make any revenue. This has been a fiasco and I just do not understand how they can get by with things like this.

I am asking that my business be reimbursed for the expenses that we have incurred as a result of the negligence of this utility company. The total is $605.00 for lost deposits, and advertising. The lost revenue is $900.00 due to the business not being able to open on time.  I feel that they have to be accountable.
