First Extended Service Corp. ripoff? Still waiting for approval, I am told I must have my truck towed elsewhere Dallas Texas
I purchased a Dodge Ram 4X4 in 2000 from Advantage Automotive Cons. (My Credit Unions People). I also purchased an extended service aggreement for $1403.50. This is the first and only time I have ever tried to use this contract.
The Advantage Automotive Consultant which sold me the truck and waranty told me to take my truck to the nearest dodge certified dealership for repairs under my Extended Service waranty and not being with a dealership himself, left the space under Selling Dealer Signature (BLANK)on my waranty.
I have taken my truck into a nearby Dodge certified dealership who has found needed repairs which should be covered under First Extended's Aggreement. I was told that they have done First Extended work before.
After contacting first extended... I was told I needed to have my truck towed to one of the Burt Group Dealers or PEP BOYs. I was told that to take it to Burt on S. Broadway. I called the Burt dealership and was told not to bring it there because they don't do Dodge truck rearend work, they are a Pontiac dealership...There is no Burt Dodge dealership. Pep Boys told me they could fix my heater and Parking Break wratchet system, but they don't do rearend work.
Now I'm going to see what comes next from First Extended...I will keep you advised.

I'm not to sure I understand if you even have a complaint and I don't believe you do, however here are a few suggestions.
1. First Extended is only a adminstration company.
2. The service contract is between you and the selling dealership.
3. Go back to the selling dealership for the work to be done, if they don't do it they will sublet it out to a Dodge dealership.
4. Contact the finance company ask if they received the agreement with the service contract included in the financing.
5. Request a copy of all the paperwork associated with your transaction. Check to see if they included the service contract with the financing.
6. Contact FE check to see if you have a valid agreement inforce which level of coverage the dealership submitted.
