I purchased a 3yr. 36,000 mi. extended warranty from First Extended Service Corp. for my 2002 Dodge Durango.

In October I tried to use this warranty for a transmission repair. I took my suv to a transmission shop to be diagnosed. The shop called First Extended Service Corp. for authorization to repair the valve body in the transmission.
They were told an independant adjuster would be out to look at the transmission.

Two days later the adjuster arrived and stated that the repairs needed were not covered because a bolt holding the valve body sheered off and caused the valve body to fail. Bolts are not covered. He went even further to state that I should have known it was happening!! The shop told him that it was impossible for me to have known that it was going to happen.

After numerous phone calls, we received no help getting our claim resolved.
To make matters worse I had to rent a car (also not covered) for the 2 weeks it took for the whole annoying process to play out.

I am now out 600.00 for a rental and 900.00 for the repairs.

These people are crooks!!! I intend to send a copy of this letter to our States Attorney General-Consumer Protection.
