Bought an extended service agreement on my new 2001 Nissan X-Terra at the time of purchase from First Extended Service Corporation.I paid $1,200.00 for it. It was a bumper to bumper plan for 100,000 miles or 5 years which ever came first.

The vechile has 60,000 miles on it and needs a new drive shaft. I no longer live in the original state of purchase. The Nissan dealership in my current state of residence has submitted a claim on my behave. First Extended Service Corporation requested all my service records which have been sent for the last two years but because I do not have the records of oil changes for the first 17 months of ownership they will not cover it.
The service manger at the dealership has tried repeatedly to explain that this problem has nothing to do with oil changes. Still too no avail.

I have called several times to speak with someone at First Extended Service Corporation only to be met with a firewall of unfriendly individuals who refuse to be of assistance to me or forward my call to anyone who might be.

This is my first claim with this service agreement plan company. It states very clearly on the back of the contract that this is a covered problem. This company is attempting to find ANY loop hole they can to get out of paying a penny for an agreement made contractually.
Buyers please beware and avoid this company at ALL cost.
My lesson here, only buy service agreements from the manufacturer to avoid being hosed by dishonest businesses like this one.
