FIRST FINANCIAL LENDING GROUP - DARREN FIRESTONE - MICHELLE CRUZ - FRED FARIMAN RIPOFF DEFRAUDING CONSUMERS AND MISREPRESENTING ORIGINATION FEES TARZANA California
We received a telemarketing call from First Financial Lending Group Inc. promising 1 point orignation fee. When the mobile notary came to our home for signing, the orignation fees were 5 points!! We called the owner DARREN FIRESTONE who said they never promised 1 point...they refused to honor the 1 point quoted. DARREN FIRESTONE is not a licensed broker, MICHELLE CRUZ is not a licensed broker...our loan documents were signed by FRED FARIMAN a licensed broker - who we spoke to a couple of times. We tried to call FRED FARIMAN to discuss the dishonesty of First Financial Lending Group and its representatives and we could not reach him. DARRENT FIRESTONE claims FRED FARIMAN is his "business partner" who does not discuss loans with the borrowers!!!??
BE AWARE OF THE LOAN DOCUMENTS YOU ARE SIGNING!! Look at your GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE or HUD1 statement..there are alot of scams going on right now in the real estate market...the only way to hold brokers accountable is to educate yourself on what you are signing!!
These people were all unprofessional and did not follow thru with what they promised...Please do not do business with them...
Consumer cheated!!

FIRST FINANCIAL LENDING GROUP - DARREN FIRESTONE - MICHELLE CRUZ** UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES, MISREPRESENTATION OF FEES CHARGED

Our experience was what it was...a misrepresentation of fees initially quoted. And when we asked them to make it right we were given the same excuse they gave you - it was the escrow company?!! Well, if you are educated about the loan process, the escrow company takes its directive (which = preparation of the escrow documents) from the lender and the lender? The lender gets its information from FIRST FINANCIAL LENDING GROUP or the broker...the ONLY mistake made in our transaction was dishonesty and belief that by us signing the documents in a hurried state we would miss the increase on our fees.
The hopes are from our posts it creates just enough doubt that consumers will REVIEW and read the fine print on their loan documents. I am happy they were nice to you, but maybe thats because you have just enough knowledge to have found your mistake made by the "escrow company" as we did.
In Christ,
Cheated consumer!!

I use this site from time to time and to my surprise a comment was posted about a company I do business with, First Financial Lending Group.
I would like to offer my opinion in the matter. First Financial has helped me many times, in fact, they have saved my home from repossession. I have never had a company take the time to explain the mortgage process so accurately and factual. I had a problem with my first loan with them, they fixed the problem immediately and it turned out to be the escrow company's fault, which happens.... This brings me to my point.
The previous post seems to be bogus. I'll bet someone was upset because there loan was declined. I can't say enough good things about FFL. It is inconceivable for them to wrong a borrower.
I think the person who posted the previous post needs to get a little bit more educated themselves.
First, you can't get "cheated" when no transaction took place!
Second, there is always ONE broker, not three. The other employees work under the broker as a salesperson or telemarketer.
I hate to see good companies have a bad post; they are defensless with the sites. Hope this helps. - A very satisfied borrower
