Complaint Review: First Gold

I received the same yellow card in the mail. After examining it and after consideration, I figured I needed help improving my credit. I called.

After speaking with a representative I was excited to hear that I was approved and would be receiving my package in like 8-10 weeks. At the time I did not have the amount required for the fee so they held it for me and we set a direct withdrawal date to have the amount of $259.95 withdrawn.

They explained to me that $250 would be returned to the card as my credit, and $9.95 was for shipping and handling charges.this was done on november 15th 2002. I waited and still nothing. I called and they said due to the overwhelming responses there was a delay in the process.

After continuous calls on the whereabouts of my cards and package i was finally realizing i had been scammed. i got the same lady each time who never gave her name. the answer was the same it was in the mail.

Dates i have called were 10-4-02, 12-14-03, 1-14-03, 3-28-03, 5-1-03, 6-13-03, 5-1-03. I was told they were refunding my money back to my account. I called again on 6-13-03 and I received a fax number and I faxed a letter to them requesting my money due ASAP. Again i kept calling 9-30-03, 10-17-03, 1-22-04.

I was given an address to send my requests to at PO box 3052 champlain ny 12919-3052. I sent a letter and still nothing. As of today 7-14-04 I have again called the number on the card it is now a different company, and they have nothing to do with it. I called the 1-800-457-2617 number and it has been disconnected. Go figure, all this trust I gave my personal information and was given a chance so i thought to help my credit and still nothing including my money back like they had agin promised. I work full time and have a family of 4 to support and i released that amount of money only to be used and lied to.

People like this should be found and sued. All i want is my money back paid in full and i have learned a lesson here i'll tell you that. It is wrong what they did to mislead so many and take their money and disappear. I hope that something gets done about this and all of us that had been taken advantage of recieve our money back paid in full and these people that did this get found for fraud and sent to jail. What's fair is fair and I want my money back. thank you.
