I received a call in December 04 from a marketer who said I was approved for an unsecured mastercard with a credit line of $2,500. She sold me on how this would be a great way to rebuild my credit, and that in return for the $354.90 debited from my account I would receive a free computer. I was told that I would recieve the card in 10 business days, so I gave them my banking information in hopes that I would be able to use my $2,500 credit card to buy Christmas gifts. Weeks went by and I never received my card. I wasn't able to buy Christmas gifts for my kids because the $354.90 they took from me was the only money I had for them. I told them I would make it up to them with the free computer, which obviously never came. The only thing I recieved (2 months later) was a package of useless coupons. NO CARD! These people are scam artist! When I called First Link they said that the money was non-refundable. I asked them to play the recording of the tape when they called me and the only part that they recorded was me agreeing to let them debit my account. Conveniently the first part of the conversation when they told me I was getting a credit card etc. was not recorded, they tamper with the tapes to cover themselves. Unfortunatly they seem to be very well covered. I think we need to file a lawsuit and bring them down before they hurt more innocent people.
