First Link Benefits Sales Associate-Andrea Collins Deliberate manipulative misleading outright fraudulent telemarketing scam for Master Card Gateway Computer and Peoples Internet Champlain New York
The sales associate, Andrea Collins for First Link Benefits called on October 18 2004 and asked me to pay a fee of $354.90 for a Master Card that had already been approved for me.If I could pay this fee, I would receive a Gateway Computer and a free digital camera along with the Master Card.
I asked her if this was legitimate and would I actually receive a card or an application. She stated that I would receive the card. I also asked her when my computer and camera would arrive. Andrea told me that my computer would arrive in 7-10 business days.
After I told her I would like to make the transaction she gave the phone to another person named Layla who confirmed the transaction and said she was recording the approval.
What I received was a small package containing an application for the master card, an order form for the digital camera with a $39.95 shipping and handling fee and an order form for Peoples Internet in which I would be required to pay a fee for their service before I could get the Gateway computer.
I asked for my money back the day I received the package. I was told that I could request that a manager return my call the next business day, in which I then requested. I have yet to hear from anyone at First Link Benefits.
