I got a letter in the mail for "what appeared" to be a credit card with a $6,500 limit. When I called to activate it however, they informed me of the $200 activation fee, and pushed me into giving them my account number so they can take the money out of there. It wasn't until I got off the phone with them that I realized that I couldn't use the card on anything except their stupid catalog. I then called them back to cancel my membership, but they wouldn't let me, and stated that "All sales are final!" So, just when I thought I had extra money to spend and to build up my credit..what really happened is that I got ripped off, and just lost money. This is a kniving, deceptive company that will stop at nothing to make their money, and who completely disrespect their customers. Annika Santa Cruz, California

I also received the First National Card "scam" letter in the mail. Before I called something told me to check online. I went to Google and typed in "First National Card" and the first thing that popped up in the search was this ripoff report. I matched the name and the address from the envelope that I received. I am so glad that this information was available before I called because I would have fell for the ripoff too and would have gotten taken for $200 dollars that I do not have to just throw away.
I immediately tore up the letter and cut the card up and cut card. I put it where it belongs; in the garbage.

Many thanks to Annika for filing this report and thanks to badbusinessbureau.com for providing this forum. Thank you again!
