The company who is misleading so many people is still sending out their mailers...I received one today (11/10/01).

Most legitimate companies are very particular about labeling specifics, e.g., Visa or Master Card; however this mailer from First National Credit only describes their offer as a "Pre-approved Gold Card" with a very attractive 15K limit and 0% APR for the first year.

I was immediately skeptical about this offer and decided to conduct a web search--thanks to all of your posts about this company, my skepticism was correct! Therefore, I will send this mailer to my local Consumer Protection Agency with some of your postings as attachments to make others in the State of Hawaii aware of this type of misleading marketing technique.

Thanks again for reporting your findings and I hope all of you get your money back from this grossly, misleading, company.

P.S. I searched for the company's phone number at www.switchboard.com and it's listed as (949)448-8822.
