RE: Package ID Verification #:******; Fee: $229.95
The enclosed package is being returned to you for the following reasons:
On July 11, 2003, I ordered the credit package from your company, First National Credit. I called customer service, (352) 591-3070, on July 17, 2003, and spoke with Stormy and I canceled my order. Stormy confirmed my cancellation and said that the $229.95 would not be deducted from my bank account. I asked her for a cancellation or confirmation number and she said that you did not give cancellation numbers.
On July 25, 2003, the amount of $229.95 was deducted from my bank account. I called customer service again on July 28, 2003 at 8:55 am (PST). While speaking with your customer service supervisor, I tried to explain that I cancelled my order but the $229.95 was still taken from my bank account which caused it to go into the negative because I had other credits being posted, and a chain reaction of bounced checks and credits occurred, totaling $173.00 in NSF/Overdraft charges. (See attached).
She told me that there was no record of my cancellation. She asked who did I cancel it with. I told her I cancelled with Stormy. She asked me for a cancellation number. I told her that I asked Stormy for a cancellation number, and she said that they dont give cancellation numbers.
The supervisor then said that it was my word against hers (Stormy). I asked if there is a recording of the cancellation. She rudely said, No, they only record the initial order. I said, because of your mistake I had non-sufficient fund and overdraft fees charged to my account, and that is not fair. Uncompassionately, she told me that I would have to wait until I received my package and follow the directions in order to receive a refund. She then hung up on me.
I called customer service again on August 13, 2003, at 8:04 am (PST), asking when would I received my package. The female I spoke with explained that the packages are going out about 2 weeks late and that I should receive it soon. After explaining again what I had gone through, she suggested that I include a letter explaining what had happened.
On August 16, 2003, I received my package in the mail. I am returning it to you for my refund of $229.95, in addition to the non-sufficient fund and overdraft fees incurred on my bank account, totaling $173.00, that was caused by your error. I expect that you will credit my account or return a check in the full amount of $402.95 to me immediately at the above address.
