I received a preapproved certificate from First Naional Bank gauranteeing $15,000 worth of credit. All I needed to do to receive my card was send in a processing fee of $37.00. Foolishly, I sent in my acceptance letter and my check, only to look up First National Credit on the internet and find a whole slew of complaints about them. There are several web-sites devoted to this company's fraudulant business alone! It turns out that you only receive a catalog, anf that the card is only good for that catalog. In addition- you cannot even charge an entire purchase, they require you to send in 15-20% of the bill by check. Upon investigating further, I have found that just putting a stop payment on your account may not be enough. They are using your routing and account # of of your check and withdrawing funds electronically if you put a stop payment on a check. I have already put a stop payment on my check, for a fee of $25.00. My bank assured me that they will take all measures to ensure this evil company does not dip into my account. The saddest part is that it still cost me $25.00 for nothing but a lesson learned, and getting burned! I still have not found any way to contact this company! Renee Dallas, Texas
