Yes, I was taken. There is no other way to say it, I should have known! All the tell tale signs of a rip-off were there, I just did not heed the warnings. And I became even more sure I was dealing with the wrong company when I had such a hard time getting through to them.

The final clue was when I found your website and I fully realized I had made a mistake. However, I got through contrary to my expectation, perhaps I can say my persistence paid off. I asked for a manager and got one on the line(?).

I told him that their advertising was highly misleading and thatI wanted my $38 refunded. There was a pause on the phone, then I told him about your website and explained to him that I would not ruin his day as long as he played along with me and helped me to a refund of what I paid them.

He then proceeded to tell me to return the package I had received and when they had received the returned material, they would refund the money. Right! I send the package to the address he provided (he did not want to give me his last name)and I also sent it certified so I would know that they had recieved it.

I recieved the receipt a week later so that I knew that had recieved it. It has now been 2 months and I have yet to recieve any refund, and I don't think I will. Now I check the web and find that they "do not take any more applications at this time" which tells me they are out of business. But what about the money they have stolen from people, isn't there any kind of authority in California that would see to it that companies like that pay back what they have stolen.

We have that here in CT, actually it would never go this far in this state. I would love to do something about these sleezeballs if I only knew how! And how the system works in California. Perhaps you can help in some way?
Sincerely,
Steve
