I received a telephone call from a representative from First National Credit Service explaining that they could give me a credit card with no annual fee and low interest. The representative went on to say that there wasn't any charge for this service. All they would need is to verify my bank account for security reasons.

I gave them the bank information and asked when I would receive the credit card. The representative informed me that it would take approximately thirty days.

I am totally and permanently disabled and live on a meager fixed income. My brother handles my money as I have severe gout in my hands and cannot write checks. My brother has the power of attorney on my account and extracts the entire amount (except for ten dollars to keep it open) of my income that is direct deposited by social security. This money is used to pay my rent, buy food, pay utilities etc. I only make $740 a month

Fortunately for me; my brother did just that as soon as the bank opened. Several days later I received a statement that my account was NSF. It appeared that First National Credit Service attempted to extract $187 from my account.

Thank God, there was only ten dollars in my account at the time. The bank charged me a fee that they later withdrew once my brother explained that First National was no authorized to extract any money from the account. My brother then looked on the Internet and found that "First National Credit Service" (FNCS) had numerous complaints against them for fraudulent activity. He then called FNCS and the person answering the phone said Prime one, what is your area code and number. When he asked if this was FNCS, the man on the phone said "no". This company is a scam. Please beware!!!
