First National Credit - Yes, it is a scam...

Careful reading of the offer makes it clear, particularly if you read between the lines, that you will pay a pretty price for $15K in credit good toward the priveledge of buying their overpriced junk.

It won't be good for buying things like you would with a Visa or MC, AMEX, etc. It will be good for buying First Nat'l Credit promotionals.

The phrase "You may use your gold card (ooooh a _gold_ card!) immediately upon receipt for all purchases from credit provider..." indicates clearly that you're stuck with their stuff.

This is in response to the following query on the ripoffreport site:

First Nation Credit - Sounds like the Capital Credit Gold Card Scam

Company
First National Credit
Address:
Pacific Park Plaza 27101 Aliso Creek Roa
Aliso Viejo CA 92656
U.S.A.
Phone Number:

I just received a pre approval certificate for $15,000 gold card with a 12 month 0% introductory rate from First National Credit located at Pacific Park Plaza 27101 Aliso Creek Road, Unit 126, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656.I decided since it seemed to good to be true that I would check in to it. I searched the web and to my surprise there is an actual web site for this company (www.firstnationalcredit.com). The web site is very vanilla. After seeing the site and the original certificate I decided to search to see if the BBB of California had any complaints. During that search I came across this site which seemd to be very informative. I still don't know if this is phony or not. But it sure smells funny. Be careful.

I also received the DREAM COME TRUE letter from FIRST NATIONAL CREDIT ($15,000 Gold Card).
Remember that old saying, "If it sounds too good to be true, it isn't"? Well, as I headed toward the trash can with my FNC Dream letter in hand I made a pit stop along the way to visit RIPOFFREPORT just to assure myself I wasn't lumping my dream come true opportunity in with the rest of the junk mail heading to the incinerater.

I'm confident I'll find the factual information I'm searching for at RIPOFFREPORT. My mind is at ease again. Thank-you RIPOFFREPORT and all of you who take the time to report these negative business tactics.

Companies who black shadow individual people in desperate situations who are just trying to honestly build or get their credit back on track in good standing, have both hands lighting the fire that slowly burns our strong country to the ground. I personally feel they should be lawfully charged for their bad business practices. And by the way, Where are all our State and Federal elected politicians? Are they not doing their jobs by allowing companies such as FNC to use trickery to take advantage of the people, our people. Tempting, those most, in ill circumstances, applying deceptive business tactics to steal the little money from their pockets, leaving them with false hopes of acquiring/regaining an acceptable credit standing, of which is becoming necessary to provide a safe, secure, healthy environment in which to thrive & support themselves and their families.

Why are we not protected from fraudulent
companies?

GEE, I have a suggestion, shouldn't all the aspects of offers to consumers from companies such as FDC be listed just as the Law requires all the ingredients be listed on the label of consumable products so people know what they are swallowing before it goes down their throat?
